Eye Mobile
As a decorative project for the apartment, Maria and I made a mobile of eyeballs.
The inspiration for this project mostly came from an effort to use up some of the excess crafting supplies we have lying around, including the plastic eyeballs. The eyeballs had spent the last year or so floating in a jar in the bathroom. I had originally been playing around with making something like this 
with an electromagnet and metal pieces in the eyeballs, but ended up giving up since it would be hard to do in a form factor that could be displayed.
The main efforts here were making the top piece by wrapping a thick piece of wire in gold string:
